Welcome to Deshi. Deshi is operated by AKERSEL AS. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Deshi marketplace, including browsing, placing orders, and selling as a vendor. By creating an account or using Deshi, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By registering for an account, ticking the acceptance box, or otherwise using Deshi, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account.
2. About the marketplace
Deshi is an online marketplace operated by AKERSEL AS (org. no. 937 757 832) that connects customers in the Nordics with independent vendors selling South Asian goods. Vendors are independent businesses responsible for their own products, listings, pricing, and fulfilment. Deshi facilitates the transaction but is not the seller of vendor products and is not a party to the sales contract between you and a vendor, except where Deshi is expressly identified as the seller.
3. Accounts and registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used for fraudulent or unlawful activity.
4. Orders and pricing
All prices are shown in the listed currency and, unless stated otherwise, include applicable taxes. Placing an order is an offer to purchase from the relevant vendor; a binding sales contract is formed when the order is confirmed. The price and product details that apply to your order are those captured at the time you place it. We make reasonable efforts to display accurate information, but errors in price or availability may occur, in which case the affected order may be cancelled and refunded.
5. Payment
Payment is collected at checkout through our supported payment methods. Where an order contains products from multiple vendors, your payment is processed as a single transaction and settled to the respective vendors, less Deshi's commission. You authorise us and our payment providers to charge your selected payment method for the total amount of your order.
6. Delivery and fulfilment
Vendors are responsible for fulfilling and shipping the items they sell. An order containing items from several vendors may arrive in separate shipments. Delivery times are estimates and may vary. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. Please ensure your delivery address is correct; we are not responsible for orders delayed or lost due to an incorrect address.
7. Returns, cancellations and refunds
Where required by applicable consumer law, you have the right to cancel certain purchases within the statutory withdrawal period. Some products — for example perishable groceries, or items that are sealed for health or hygiene reasons and have been unsealed — may be exempt. Return and refund requests are handled with the relevant vendor in accordance with their policy and your statutory rights.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Deshi, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with the service, submitting false or infringing content, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose. We may remove content and restrict access where these Terms are breached.
9. Privacy and marketing
We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law to operate the marketplace, fulfil your orders, and provide support. If you opt in to marketing, we may send you campaign offers and promotions; you can withdraw this consent at any time from your account or via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
10. Limitation of liability
Deshi provides the marketplace on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or from products sold by vendors. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of Deshi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you reside. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Norwegian courts, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
